REGISTER EARLY!
We encourage you to register for a course as early as possible because there is a limit of 12 students for most courses due to the hands-on nature of these adventures. Courses are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
How to register:
Step 1. Download the enrollment application form or contact us if you'd like us to send you a paper brochure with an application form.
Step 2. Send us your completed enrollment application form along with the full course tuition, to:

Payment Methods
Payment may be made in the form of cash, in-New York State personal checks, money orders or cashiers checks (in US dollars). Please make all personal checks, money orders or cashiers checks payable to "Chris Dougherty". We do not except out-of-state personal checks.
Note: we will be adding the option of paying with PAYPAL soon.
Course Registration Deadline
All enrollment applications and full tuition payments for each course must be postmarked by Monday prior to the start date, unless I can be reached otherwise. Please call me or send me an email if you want to get into a course past the registration deadline.
Wait List for (FULL) Courses
We can add you to a waiting list if the course you are interested in is full. Cancellations happen... contact us if you would like this option.
After Receiving Your Enrollment:
Within a few weeks of receiving your complete enrollment application form and payment (full course tuition), we'll send you a course packet containing a gear list, course information, release forms and travel details. You supply your own gear and food for most courses, unless specifically stated otherwise. Minimal gear is required for our wilderness adventures and might include basic backpacking supplies such as backpack, sleeping bag or wool blanket, extra clothing, water bottles and a knife. You can rent equipment from a local outdoor store or maybe borrow items from a friend if you don't have gear. You are responsible for finding transportation to and from the course site. Parking will be provided for your vehicle. Students 15 years old and younger are welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Most courses begin at 9:00 a.m. and end about 5:00 p.m. the last day of the course. Smoking, drugs, or alcohol are not allowed on Chris Dougherty's Wilderness Adventures courses. Note: While every effort is made to cover the skills outlined in each course, some skills may change depending on weather conditions, material availability, or any other reason. We appreciate your understanding.
Cancellation Policy:
Our cancellation and refund policy reflects the fact that it's impossible to recover the expense occured while preparing for you to attend. That said, there is a non-refundable $100 processing fee per course.
If you cancel more than 2 weeks before a course start date; you will get a full tuition refund minus the $100 fee.
If you cancel 14 days or less before a course start date; no refund will be given. No exceptions.
Students who leave a course once it has begun, due to sickness, evacuation or any other reason, will not be entitled to a refund. Chris Dougherty's Wilderness Adventures is not responsible for any expenses, including airfare, that you may incur due to a canceled program.
Chris Dougherty's Wilderness Adventures reserves the right to cancel any course, at any time, for any reason. In this case, a full tuition refund will be given.
Please note: If unable to attend a registered course, students may transfer their tuition to a different course one time only, within one year of your original class date.
